panel reports released

Hi all,

Glen Rangwala has tracked down the electronic addresses of the UN Security
Council panel reports.  The panels were established at the end of January
to help the Security Council move forward with its Iraq policy.

I've attached Glen's message.

          Annotation: Transmits reports of 3 panels established pursuant
to the note by the President of the Security
          Council (S/1999/100): the panel on disarmament and current and
future ongoing monitoring and verification
          issues; the panel on the current humanitarian situation in Iraq;
and the panel on prisoners of war and Kuwaiti
          property.

**Security Council 

The Security Council is holding consultations on Iraq. At the moment, the
15 members are being briefed by Ambassador Celso
Amorim, who chaired the three panels established by the President of the
Council. 

Ambassador Amorim is briefing on the report which is out today on the
racks as S/1999/356, and it contains the three reports
on disarmament, the humanitarian situation and on prisoners of war and
Kuwaiti property.

Previous day's briefing:
Finally, on the work of the Council, Ambassador Celso Amorim of Brazil
will formally present to the Council tomorrow the
three reports on Iraq by panels which he chaired. General discussion is
expected to continue at least through Thursday.
